As a doctor who works at a hospital, nothing could
be harder than receiving your brother’s dead body.
It was much harder than anything you would ever
think of. I wish Allah grant my mother, my family
and myself patience to bear such a calamity.
25. Testimony of the Mother of martyr Hussam:1
Since the first day of offensive, Hussam left
the house for his work at Al Aqsa TV, where he was
working as a cameraman and a driver for journalists
and correspondents. He used to drive them to places
that was attacked so they would be able to report the
truth. I had not seen Hussam during that long period
but for a few minutes when he used to check on
us and his kids, who were with their mother at her
parents’ house. On the day of Hussam’s martyrdom,
he came back to the house to say a goodbye. After
about 10 minutes of his departure, and while his
sister was watching news channels, his martyrdom
was announced on TV.
The second I heard the news, I prayed and thanked
God for everything.
