I was still there, when a kid came to me and told me
that Mahmoud had been missing for hours now and
that they could not find him. I rushed to the house
and believed I will find him there, because wherever
he went, he always used to come back home before
sunset.
I arrived home. I did not find him. I knew
something
wrong
happened.
He was found killed by an Israeli drone missile while
he was playing with his friend Ibrahim Hamad. It is
hard to believe, ‘You have to bear and accept,’ I said
to myself.

The news of his martyrdomwas so shocking
that I rushed to Al-Najjar Hospital walking, though
it was a little far. He was so dear to my heart. I loved
him so much!

Ibrahim came back home and we had lunch
together. I told him I want to visit his uncle who
lived next to us and asked him not to go out.
He was not at home when I came back.
After some time, I heard ambulance sirens. Nothing
