22. Testimony of the Neighbours of Martyr
Yusra Shawwa:1
When the Israeli warplanes hit an apartment
belonging to Shawwa family. Ambulances arrived to
the place trying to save the family. Paramedics tried
to save Yusra, 18, and her mom who was alone in
the apartment as the father was out. As they arrived
to Al-Shifa Hospital, the girl’s injury was so serious
that she passed away. Her father was in so miserable
condition that he was not able to save his daughter.
For the mother, that day coincided with the visit
of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Dawoud
Aughlo; so the mother was treated in Turkey. God
helped the father and the whole family.
Around 4:45 pm, an Israeli warplane fired a
missile towards a yard of a house belonging to
Rizq Kilany Ashour in Zaytoon neighbourhood,
eastern Gaza City, killing Mohammed Ibrahim
Ashour, 8, and injuring five children who were
playing there.
23. Testimony of Reem Ashour, 37, Mother of
Martyr Mohammed:2
My son was playing with his cousins in
the yard of the house. Although he was not used to
offensives in the Gaza Strip as we had been in Gaza
three months earlier after living in the United Arab
Emirates, he was not afraid of the sounds of missiles
and explosions. He insisted on playing with the kids
in the early morning. At 4:00 pm, a missile was hit
