At exactly nine pm, I received confirmed
news about Musab’s martyrdom. That very moment,
the journey of bearing the burden of ultimate loss
started. The journey of his 20-day-old baby girl and
his young wife. God help us bear it.
14. Testimony of Abeer Dughmosh, 27, Wife of
Martyr Ahmed:1
My husband was sleeping at home when
Musab Dughmosh called him so that they could
go to their friend’s house, Ahmed, who was killed
hours ago, to condole his family. Salah and Subhi
Dughmosh, Zaki Qadadh, Musab Dughmosh and
my husband went all together.
At exactly 2:00 pm, I called my husband
and asked him if he was coming home early, so I
prepare lunch for him, he said, ‘do not worry about
me.’
After some time, my son and I went upstairs
to the roof of the house to fill water in bottles. We
saw smoke rising! I knew it was due to an Israeli
attack. I was looking at the target telling my son:
‘God help the family of martyrs,’ when I saw my
mother running in the street towards my house! I
hurried downstairs to open the door. I opened the
door for her and she hugged me.
Every single thing she did that day was strange.
‘Did anyone call you? No one?’ she asked
me. I was just looking at her, wondering, what it
