• JDAM Guided Smart Bombs
They are guided bombs, routed through
GPS and were used extensively in targeting security
headquarters, homes and facilities that need
accuracy to be hit, and the bomb is origionally one
of the bombs of general purpose, such as MK80
bombs. Moslty used bombs are JDAM GBU 31,
which depends on MK84 warhead .
• GBU Bombs (LGB)
These bombs are of the very strong type to
penetrate the military fortifications buried beneath
the surface of the earth and destroy them without
showing raised destroying remarks on the surface.
They have been used in bombing the tunnels area
in Rafah, as the ability of these bombs to penetrate
the soil is up to a depth of 30 meters and 6 meters in
cement. They are so accurate in trageting and they
are very smart bombs. Laser is used to direct them.
The weight of some of these bombs is about
2291 kg, and the weight of the explosive material is
295 kg. The rest of the body of the bomb is made
from thick metal.
