Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
In the same night, Israel struck near \ the
hotel where I used to stay. As Israel attacked a lot
of media centres, almost all journalists gathered in
two hotels located on the Mediterranean Sea near
Gaza Port to be surprised by a new Israeli air strike
only a few meters away from the hotels. The hotels’
windows have been broken due to that. Thus, I had
to sleep in a windowless room!
Safe in the room, I heard that Israel attacked
a big playground! What makes it horrifying is that
I have videotaped in that place only few hours ago!
This couldn’t be a place where Hamas could be
found! It’s only a playground and I was just there!
No Legal Journalist!
Next day, nearby, I saw the remains of a
journalist’s car belonging to Al Aqsa TV, which was
attacked by an Israeli air strike. After that, three
other journalists have been attacked by different air
strikes, two of them were Hosam Salama, 30, and
MahmoudAl-Koumi, 29; two cameramen who were
on their way to Al-Shifa Hospital to take photos of
the injuries and martyrs who were killed by Israel.
Is it a crime to be a journalist? Is it a crime to show
the truth?
Mohammed Abu Aisha, 24, is another
journalist who has been attacked after an hour by an
Israeli air strike on his press car! I remember how
Israel started to justify its savage crime by saying,
‘they were not legal journalists!’And the world kept
silent not commenting a word on what happened as
if it’s not a crime to kill journalists!
Does speaking and writing the truth threaten
Israel’s security and kill Israelis, only because Israel
does not like it? Is telling the truth a crime?
