Construction and Bodies Destruction
I have been here since a week. I really
dream of a warm, hot shower, but I’m in Gaza: salty
water and electricity are always out.
As I had a tour throughout the Gaza Strip,
it was noticeable that life was back to streets. Yet,
it was also clearly noticeable that the amount of
destruction Israel left behind was so huge.
While I was withdrawing some money
from the bank, I saw a man sitting on the sidewalk
with truncated legs. He was one of the injuries due
to Israeli’s last aggression on the Gaza Strip. Here,
you could see the effects of the aggression, not only
on constructions, but on people whose bodies and
hearts have been injured, as well.
Shock and Coffee
I was having my cup of coffee with a youth
rapper, Antara. I heard about him when I was in
Lebanon.
‘Not being able to move and travel freely is
more than enough to let you go nuts,’ he said.
This guy has travelled to Europe many times
for music revivals. When the aggression started on
the Gaza Strip, he was able to leave Gaza to a place
elsewhere in the world; safer and securer. But he
refused.
