Zionist occupation forces used artillery to
target different areas in Gaza Strip during the 2012
offensive where these shells were fired from several
modes as follows:
• Artillery shells, 155mm.
Missiles fired from howitzers stationed
east of Gaza Strip which targeted eastern and near
the border areas, and which weigh about 35 kg and
has almost a range of 20,000 meters projectile and
there are several types depending on the purpose of
use, such as high-explosive shells and smoke-shells
(white phosphorus).
• Tank shells.
Zionist troops used tank shells in the border areas
north and east of such as anti-tank missiles and anti-
personnel shells and flares.

An anti-personnel shell was used during the 2012
offensive by tanks stationed east and north of Gaza.
