Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
Around 7 am, an Israeli warplane fired a rocket
at a house belonging to Abu Warda family in
northern Gaza City. This aggression resulted
in the martyrdom of Mahmoud SaadAlla, 4,
and Ayman Abu Warda, 24. Many others were
injured, three of whom were the children: Shadi
Khela, Hanan khela and Tamer Khela.
1. Testimony of Esmat Saadalla, 37, Mother of
the Martyr, Mahmoud:1
On Friday, my son woke up early and asked
me to prepare breakfast. After breakfast, he went
out to play. When he came back home, he kissed
me goodbye and went out again. It was 10 o›clock
already when I heard a big explosion that shook the
entire house. Unconsciously, I shouted ‘Mahmoud!’
A few moments later, I saw my son Malek,
10, holding his brother between his arms. My
brother-in-law and picked him from his brother’s
arms. He took him to the ambulance. I knew already
that I have lost him!
2. Testimony of Malek SaadAlla, 10, Brother of
Martyr Mahmoud:2
In the morning of that day, I was playing
with my brother, Mahmoud, and other children near
our house. The moment of the explosion, I was in
the inside the house. Mahmoud was outside. I did
not hear the sound of shelling. All I remember was
dust that covered us and spread all over the place.
Just moments after, I heard the voice of
my mother calling Mahmoud. I remembered that
