Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012

already. My daughter had to delay her wedding party
some more time because of the Israeli attack. It was
hard to accept to delay it one more time because of
the destruction.
Despite the fact that my son-in-law was
a peaceful citizen who had nothing to do with
resistance parties and the fact that his house was
completely destroyed, I wholeheartedly thank God
that he was still fine as he was sleeping at his house
moments before targeting it.
Around 11:30 am, Israeli gunboats fired a number
of shells at Ahmad Al Nahal, 25, while being on
the beach in Al Shatea camp, western Gaza.
These shells led directly to Ahmad’s martyrdom
in addition to his 10-year-old relative, Tasnim
Al Nahal, and the 46-year-old man, Nasser Al
Nahal. It led to the injury of five citizens as well.
8. Testimony of Haneen Al Nahal, 19, wife of
martyr Ahmad:1
Ahmed was standing in front of the gate of
the house talking to some relatives when we, who
were inside the house, heard a very huge explosion.
Opening the door, I heard many people shouting
and talking about Ahmad’s martyrdom. I could not
believe it before seeing it in my naked eyes. And
there he was; a dead body.
I hugged my three-year-old daughter and
my one-year-old son so tight. I knew, at that very
moment, that the journey of my life would be so
hard, but I also knew that I had to accept my destiny
to continue.
