Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
near our house for chatting as they did every night.
My nephew, Ziad and his friend Hassan Al-Hamela
were with them, too.
It was 8:00 pm when I heard a sound of a
powerful explosion shaking my house. Going out
quickly to see which house was attacked, I heard
some people talking about the land nearby. ‘The
strike is there,’ said a young man pointing to the
land.
Knowing previously that my two brothers,
my nephew, and their friend were there, I was certain
that something bad happened to the four of them. I
went quickly to the land to shockingly find them all
sinking in blood. I fell on my knees. The scene was
so tragic that I was not able to control myself.

Martyr Amjad:1
It was 8:00 pm in the afternoon when I
heard a powerful explosion nearby. It shook the
house. I learned half an hour later that Amjad, my
husband, and his nephew, Ziad, were killed! I could
not control myself and my tears uncontrollably
rolled down my cheeks.
The loss of my husband made our house
empty. The breadwinner is gone now and I›m in
charge of almost everything. Taking responsibility
is never easy. I’ll do my best to bring up my kids.
