My uncle told me that the house of Azam
family that was next to ours was bombed, and I heard
sounds of glass falling and voices of screaming. Our
children were crying, so my family and I decided
to go out to my sister’s house in Al-Zaytoon and to
stay there!
Our house, our uncle’s, our car and all our
properties were destroyed because of the heavy
bombing. In addition, as we were not able to take
anything with us when we left the house, because
of the difficulty of the situation and the intensity
of bombing, we had nothing to remember from our
house!
Nearly at 5:05 am, the Zionist occupation
warplanes fired a missile at a vegetables cart led
by a donkey inAl-Atatra area in Beit Lahya near
Khaleel Oda Mosque, killing MohammedAbdul-
Rahman Al-Atar, 51, immediately.

During the offensive and because our house
was in the centre of events, we were staying in my
cousin’s house which was located at the end of our
street. The day my father was killed, my mother
asked him, ‘Where are you going?’ He said, ‘I will
come back home,’ we told him that it is early in the
morning and too dangerous to go out, but he insisted
to go.
My father’s cousin, Mohammed Al-Atar,
was preparing potato crops to get them to the market
in a truck; my father stopped for a while to help him.
He went home afterwards. A few moments later, we
