11. Testimony of Sondos Al-Masri, 23, sister of
martyr Abdulrahman:1
After the beginning of the Zionist aggression
on the Gaza Strip, my brother went to my sister’s
house in Rafah, but he couldn’t come back home
because of the tense atmosphere and drones which
were searching for a new victim tirelessly. Thus,
he was forced to stay overnight. On that night,
Abdulrahman went to a neighboring farmland,
accompanied by his friends Ahmed Al-Atrash and
Mohamad Al Lolahi.
Surprisingly, Israeli warplanes fired a rocket
directly towards them that led to the martyrdom of
my brother, Abdulrahman, and Mohammad Al-
Atrash. A group of people rushed to rescue them
when another airstrike took place, killing those who
were trying to help..
In the morning, my mother and I were
listening to the news when they heard breaking
news about the killing of three men! The journalist
announced the names of two of them as the third
was still ‘anonymous’. I felt that something wrong
might happen to my brother and my mother could
be severely shocked, I turned the radio off. Soon
after, my mother turned the radio on again. The
